A little history :

Tess has been attending classes every week with ActUpNorth in Manchester, creative director: David Crowley - acting coach on Hollyoaks. continuing to expand her knowledge of script analysis and camera experience to hone her craft.
​

Actors Studio / Pinewood Studios.
completed a course with Directors Tim Kent and Richard Lyn ( director of Eastenders- present )
studying single-cam filming and Multicam filming.
Preparation for how to be on set in a Multicam environment and how to work with more than one camera.

Throughout the past 17 years, despite being in a different career, she has continued with her Actor training at

Tess was lucky enough to hang out with the cast of Supernatural 2 years ago and met up with

Tess has always been involved in acting since a young age and has been in numerous shows since a young age, Alladin / Annie / Cinderella / Loose Change/ various other theatre performances.
Networking in LA
In 2012 she went out to Los Angeles on a networking convention and met with top industry professionals - had the opportunity to meet with top agents and also was able to work with Charlie Haid (Starship troopers - ER, Nip Tuck )
Also Kim Foster McCollum - who was the casting director for the original 'Charmed'
she had the opportunity to study with the top acting teachers in LA - Crystal Carson, Amy Lyndon,

When she was 15 she auditioned for Opportunity Knocks, she was offered a place, however, the show was canceled.

Dance background:
​
Tess is a qualified dance teacher ( city and guilds ) and has a strong background in Dance especially in Ballet and Tap., she has been dancing since a young age.
Tess was director of dance at Islington Arts Factory and choreographed for the shows as well as stage-managed the shows.
Tess has experience stage Managed 3 shows at Saddler's Wells in London the show had 150 performers ranging from 4 yr olds to Adults.
Tess has taught Children's Tap and Adult Tap, 'Beginner to Advanced' in Dance Works, London Alongside Richard Holland.
Tess is a trained dance teacher and has experience teaching Ballet - RAD, and ISTD
She is trained to an Advanced level in American Jazz Tap and also in ISTD tap.
She was director of dance at Islington Arts Factory in London for the young moves dept, during this time she was stage manager for several shows performed at the Saddlers Wells Theatre in London.
She has choreographed Ballet and Tap routines for shows.
she also choreographed routines for Competitions.
She set up and ran her own dance summer school, for teenagers aged 11 -14 in Wales which included a performance of the work at the end of the week. classes included contemporary / Ballet and street jazz.
She has taught outreach classes to teenagers - subjects covered were street jazz.
Her experience in choreography and teaching is varied.

Tess is passionate about improving her knowledge and understanding of her craft and working in TV. IShe has been attending ActUpNorth since Feb 2022 and continues to learn and hone her acting skills. She completed a 3-day course at Pinewood studios, Multicam vs Single cam, and now knows and understands how to work in a Multicam environment. With Acting Eastenders director Richard Lynn.
She has been training with Margie Haber and Amy Jo Berman (vice president of HBO for 14 years) for the past 6 months.

She is ready to embrace the new challenge of changing her career path into Acting for TV..
